In the fall, the forests of Cantal resonate with a mysterious and powerful sound: the stag rut. This deep, throaty roar, which pierces the silence of foggy mornings and starry evenings, is one of the most spectacular phenomena of wild fauna. It marks the mating season and transforms the landscapes into a scene worthy of a grand opera.
To allow you to experience this unique moment in complete serenity, our autumn stay in the Cantal highlands includes a guided excursion – in french – in a small group (every 3 nights on themes of the stag rut, but also migrating birds, botany, geology, star gazing and constellations).
Our local guide, passionate and discreet, will lead you on the tracks of the stags, far from the beaten path, for a respectful and deeply moving encounter with these masters of the wilderness.
